1/30/2011 Sadie's first time sledding

It was a beautiful day and the snow was threatening to melt, so the Turners decided to go sledding.
This hill was a little bare, but it worked for our purposes.
Sadie loved sledding and was even pretty good about walking back up the hill herself.

Although it was small, the hill was much steeper (and faster) than Mommy had expected.

Mommy found this sled at a garage sale this past summer.  Turns out it wasn't such a great find.  The sled was very difficult to steer.  Look at Daddy's face as he tries to avoid going sideways.

Okay - this picture makes it seem as though the hill wasn't very big.  Let me tell you, it seemed much bigger than it was.

Daddy and Sadie got in a good grove and slid all the way to the grate and the bottom of the hill past Mommy.

 There they go backwards.
Sadie is asking to be carried up the hill.

As you can see, we are not the first people to sled this mountain.  It seems as though it actually scared everyone else away.  We were the only ones there and it was beautiful.  In fact, we kept shedding clothing everytime we had to walk back up the hill.

Dash enjoyed the day.

Mommy also had trouble steering - this is her going backwards.
