5-7-2011 Master of our Universe

Mommy had graduated with her Master's degree from Ashland University on Saturday.

She made Sadie and Dash sit through it because she still remembers her Dad's graduation at UD and her Mom receiving her principal's degree.

Unfortunately, Ashland decided to put everyone (including the graduates) on one side of the football field.  None of the family and friends could see any of the graduates.

Good job getting the picture Daddy!

Here I am shaking Serrod Brown's hand.
He decided to make his speech political - it was so inappropriate.

 Sadie tried on my hat.

Grandma and Grandpa Duffy came to watch Mommy graduate.

 Sadie liked Mommy's funny dress.

5-5-2011 Dash is kneeling

While Sadie was at preschool, I put Dash on the floor to play with some toys.

The next thing I know is that he is up on his knees digging through the basket!
I said, "What are you doing, Dash?" and he turned and smiled.
(He might recognize his name, too!)

5-3-2011 Dance Fever

This week was parent observation week at Dance Class.

The girls received their costumes for the upcoming recital (stay tuned for a video on the 15th).

Miss Julia is giving Sadie some pointers.

Check out the attitude.

4-30-2011Video's at Milo's Birthday

Playing with the chickens.

Sadie was brave enough to feed them from her hand.

Dash trying to crawl on the slippery floor and watching the kids run around.

4-30-2011 Milo's birthday at the farm

Our neighbor, Milo, had his third birthday at the farm.

We went to the garden first - but not many vegetables have grown yet.

Milo and Sadie are looking for worms.

A rare shot of Milo letting Sadie hold his hand.

This lamb was born the night before.

New piglets.

Goats and kids.

kids chasing kids.

Up in the barn loft.

And the best part of the day was feeding the chickens.
When the farm docent let the chickens out, the make a mad dash to the food - it looks a little like a ridiculous running of the bulls.

Then we went inside (just before the rain - jeez Ohio enough already!)

The kids ran around with party noisemakers.

Dash enjoyed watching all the kids play.

(It looks as though Dash isn't missing any meals. Give me cake and ice cream!)

4-29-2011 Paw Paw's new trike

Paw Paw got a new motorcyle.  This is called a trike because it has three wheels like a tricyle.  Grandma loves riding on the back because it is quiet and has super-comfortable armrests.

4-25-2011 Dash's first bath (in the tub)

Since Dash is finally sitting up on his own (he decided to crawl first and the we couldn't keep him still), Mommy decided it was time for a bath.

Our bathroom is a pretty unattractive shade of mustard, so a few of the pictures are edited.

He loved splashing in the water.

He did try to crawl (unsuccessfully) a few times.

After looking at these pictures, it is amazing how much chubbier Sadie was.  We think Dash doesn't sit still enough to really acquire the Sadie-esque thigh rolls.
