8-25-2011 Girls' Day Out

Grandma watched Dash so Mommy could have a girls' day.
We packed a lunch and went for a tea party.

We had a lovely tea party next to this waterfall.

Then we took a walk and went exploring.

Sadie tried to roll down a hill, but it wasn't quite steep enough.

We had a wonderful day.

8-20-2011 Marysville Balloon Festival

Grandma and Paw Paw invited us to meet them at the balloon festival in Marysville.
We had a great time and will definitely mark our calendars to remember this next year.
Besides the balloons, they had fair food at reasonable prices (unheard of, right?), cheap parking, live bands and characters walking around.

It rained on the way there and on the way home - but the rain held off the entire time we were there.

This is such a great look of surprise and joy!

Sadie found that if she talked to Paw Paw sweetly, he would let her stand on his legs.

Dash is practicing the "toddler squat" - look no hands.
He insisted on crawling on the pavement.
(He does it so that his knees don't scrape the ground somehow.)

Here are the balloons starting to inflate.

Off they go!

The wind was very strong - so they disappeared pretty fast.

Grandma takes good pictures with Dasher - he must be her lucky picture charm.

Here is Grandma in front to the Darth Vader Balloon.
(They never actually got this one off the ground.)

Oh yeah, they had skydivers too.
(And helicopter rides if you had the dough.)

Crazy Sadie

Coy Sadie

Sadie liked the music and danced with Paw Paw.

Dash is waving Hi!  (Still not saying anything yet)

Mommy loves this one.
(You can almost hear his laugh through the picture)

Mommy, I hear music.
We eventually moved over to the band and Sadie made some friends to run around and dance with.

Once it got dark, all the balloons came back - it was so cool!

8-18-2011 First Brown's Game

We dressed up in our Brown's gear to watch the game.

Well, Daddy watched the game and the rest of us napped.

Look at how cute those smiles are.

This is Sadie's version of hugging her brother. He loves it.

Daddy can I play football?

8-15-2011 Aunt Jill's Birthday Party

Aunt Jill. Grandma and Paw Paw came over to celebrate her birthday!
Sadie was so excited!

This is Dash's first encounter with cake - he never imagined food could be so good
(or so messy and fun!)

Soon it was everywhere.  The ice cream was particularly entertaining because it was gooey and cold - which surprised the little guy.

He decided that his bowl would make a good hat - his great-grandpa used to do this.

8-13-2011 Wedding

We went to Raven's, Tris' niece, wedding in Cincinnati.  It was very beautiful.  Unfortunately, it was funny light (dusk) and the camera refused to focus.  We have a few pictures, but none are very clear.

Teal and Tyler were there too with Aunt Tia.  It was great to see them.
Sadie loved Tyler and made sure he danced with her after dinner.

Aunt Jill is the Best!

8-13-2011 Adam meets Nick Gillespe and Matt Welch!

Yep - Adam's that guy who wears the t-shirt to the thing that the t-shirt is for.
Here he is with the editors of Reason in his Reason shirt.

Side note:  Kids don't care whether you have the solution to the country's problems, don't bring them along.  (We had to because it was in Oxford and we were headed to Cincinnati after for a wedding.  Mommy just took them outside and up and down the halls during the presentation.)

8-3-2011 The best day of Henry's life

Cousin Henry was in town and we met gg and Papa in Mansfield.
Unfortunately is rained and we couldn't do anything outside.

Mommy found a coupon on her phone foe a zillion tokens at Chucky Cheese - so that's where we headed.  It turned out to be so much more fun than being outside (according to the kids reactions and naps on the way home.)

gg let Dash taste orange soda

Papa helped Dash become a television star.

Sadie did not like him stealing her spotlight - look up on the screens.

This passenger is very distracting.

Sadie liked the group dance.

Henry stationed himself in this space pod for most of the day and defended earth.
Sadie rode along for a little while.

Then we went over to swim with Aunt Jill.

Dash and Sadie love the water.

Here's Grandma with the kids.

Dash smiled for a picture with Grandma.

He was so happy - but shivering at the same time.
