12-28-2011 The Final Days of 2011

We went to the zoo lights before they were gone for the season.

It was chilly so we bundled up.  Dash wore his monster hat.

Sadie wanted to pose.

At home we opened our presents from Sadie.
She made these at school; they had decorations and candy inside.

2012 December videos - Have fun!

This is the sound of a Dash warning others to stay out of his territory
Sadie really got into the 12 Days of Christmas this year.

Sadie's Stage debut and Dash loves high fives!

Dash says Cheese and discovers the reindeer on his feet.

Sadie and Dash on Christmas morning.

"Santa is really nice."  and Super Dash!

Crazy Dash in the bath

Running around Grandma's house.  Sadie was not expecting Dash to double-back.

12-26-2011 Christmas at the Duffy's

Dasher is looking a little tired in this picture.

I love the Santa hat on Grandma.
(Another Katie-made skirt on Sadie)

 What?
Grandma got Sadie a really cool ballerina whose feet have elastic that hook on Sadie's ankles so they can dance together.

Daddy in his new sweater with the Dasher

Dash sat through a whole book with g-grandma

Grandma Duffy got Mommy this fabulous new coat.

Look at these cool glasses in Sadie's stocking.

Auntie Ann is a little exhausted with the whole picture-taking production.
Dash is ready - what a cutie!

Anyone have Google 7 - Brian.

Family picture - miracle of miracles - everyone is looking and smiling (almost Dash)

12-25-2011 Christmas morning

The kids were very serious about Christmas gift opening.

Dash immediately went to disassembling his new Lego train.

Look at his cool new cape!  Mommy is quite proud of her handiwork.

This is Sadie's new princess dress that Mommy made.  The top is way too big, but can be adjusted.  Sadie did a pretty good job at hiding her disappointment that the dress was part brown.  Mom fail.

Dash played on the car mat for much of the morning.
The kids liked this blow up snow globe from Grandma Duffy

Despite all of her new toys, Sadie wanted to play with Dash's.

the look - from zoolander?
Where do those cheekbones come from?

This gear toy was a big hit with both kids.

12-24-2011 And to all a good night...

Sadie told Santa she wanted a princess train - Can you believe he went and found some princesses to ride on Dash's new train!

12-23-2011 Coopers/Parsons/Neider Christmas

Dash was glad to see his Aunt Molly (he wouldn't even sit still to put his pants on)

He loves this crazy light up ball.  It is perfect because it is one of the five words (besides grunts) that he says.

Mamma, ball, book, eat, dadda

He liked to play fetch and then get right next to you and chuck it in your face.

Sadie's new thing is to sneak Christmas candy (that mommy doesn't know about) into a purse.  Then I'll catch her with chocolate all over her mouth.  Her she is telling Mike how the Reese's chocolate bar is an essential purse item.  Seriously - where does she keep finding this candy?

Uncle Cole and Daddy make good springboards - Henry and Sadie took turns jumping off them.  (This is what happens when you have too much sugar and too little nap - anarchy.)

Dash was so tired he snuggled with Daddy.
You would be hard-pressed to find anything as cute as a baby in a Santa Suit.

Best friend cousins

They love each other SOOOOOOO much.

Another try at a picture with all the kids.

Henry got a really cool truck that made a lot of noise - Dash was very impressed.

Sadie liked playing with Dash's new toys.

Finally Dash managed to get that truck away from Henry for a few minutes.

5 great-grandchildren on a little couch is a recipe for disaster.

Aunt Becky spent a long time putting together this gingerbread house and Sadie and Aunt Jill decorated it.
For days after, Sadie would ask when we could eat it.  It was very hard to explain that it was just for looks - and she would argue that it looks so good to eat.  Mommy doesn't get it either.

12-22-2011 Christmas at the Coopers

Side Note:  Because we have all five children together, we tend to take a lot of pictures.  Holiday posts seem to be, as Sadie would say, "as big as measuring a giant".

Dash and Georgie were so happy to be sitting at the kids table.  While Henry, Sadie, and June couldn't wait to leave the table to play.

Good Picture of Henry and Sadie

With all the commotion it was virtually impossible to change already squirmy Dash.  Daddy did a good job getting him to pose for this picture so Mommy could change his diaper and put him in his new Christmas PJ's.

We tried to get all the kids in their Christmas PJ's - we were about as successful as last year's picture.

I think this is the best one.

Good, but missing Jo Jo.

Dash really tried "CHEEEEEEEEEESE"

Sadie got a doll that looked just like her and its name was Sadie, too.

Dash liked his new "Choo-choo"

Both the girls received Nutcracker dolls.
