10-31-2011 Trick or Treat

About a half hour beore we were going out trick or treating it poured down rain.  Yuk Ohio.
Luckily, it stopped by six o'clock and we were able to go out.  It was cold and wet so we wore our warm costumes.  Sadie wore her monkey outfit instread of her pirate costume.

Here is Dash in his robot/alien costume.

See our non-messy decorated pumpkins.

Paw Paw and Grandma came to pass out candy (and watch Dash if we needed it).
Dash has such a sweet smile as he is taking off PawPaw's glasses.

Sadie's friend from school, Audrey, came to our house to trick or treat.
Domenic and Luca also joined our parade.

Dash lasted for about 10 houses, then we walked him and the wagon through the backyard, where PawPaw picked them up.  Sadie was a great sport, becasue we walked Audrey back shortly after that - and ran back to meet Domenic again.  As we made it home in the dark, we were super excited to see grandma and PawPaw and Aunt Jill who came to help.  Sadie didn't even complain about the long walk or her soaking wet feet.  She slept really good that night.

10-30-2011 Pumpkin Farm (Post 2)

Sadie and Dash loved the human gerbil wheels.

Check out that face from Dash

It was made for crawling, but Dash could walk through it.
He did bump his head at the end and we had big tears.

Driving the train.  Dash says choo-choo

After lunch, Daddy and Sadie went for a horse ride.

Then we took on the obstacle course in the woods.  Pretty good for a three-year-old huh, Paw Paw?

Dash as the witch and Sadie as Frankenstein.

To top off the day, Sadie found a lady bug in the log!

10-30-2011 Pumpkin Farm (Post 1)

So we waited to go to the pumpkin farm until the very last day it was open.  We thought it would be packed, so we went when it opened - it was great - we pretty much had the whole place to ourselves.

Sadie and Dash our little ghosts.

Riding in the pumpkin cart - it is getting heavier every year.

Dash likes to push the cart.

Look how tall Sadie is this year!

This is last year.

and here's Dash measuring up.

wiggly, but smiling.

Daddy looks like he is having more fun than Dash.

Sadie chose to go headfirst - very brave.

They had a camel.  Sadie was a little scared of how big it was.

Daddy tried to walk across the Black Mamba

Sadie had some trouble with her big boots.

Team Turner had a great time with the duck race.  We pumped water down the tube and "raced" plastic duckies.

Sadie would run down and collect them to race again.

Dash found a huge airplane that he could sit in and move.

10-28-2011 Sadie's Preschool Party

Dash loves to sit on  you lap and listen to about two pages of a book.  He will do it over and over again.

Here are some of Sadie's friends (eating a lot of sugar) at preschool.

Roean's mommy made cupcakes with spiders!

Mommy helped the kids make this cool craft with yarn, plates and a spider ring.

Sadie made a jack o'lantern with her friend Gracie.

I have about ten shots of the class - Sadie didn't smile at all. (She is the monkey)

10-23-2011 Leaves: Part 2 - The backyard

It took a really long time to finish our leaves in the back.  As you can see behind Dash, there are still leaves on the trees so we are not done yet.

Dash really liked playing in the leaves.
With the fence, we just let him roam around the yard while we finished blowing and raking.

He liked throwing them up in the air.

Look at those baby blues.

It was starting to get dark and everyone was hungry, but the kids still played nicely together.

And even smiled for the camera (or Daddy making silly faces behind Mommy)

We finished with help from the house lights.  Here is Sadie standing next to the leaf pile which stretched across the entire front.
(Maybe we can get those Ash trees down before we rake next fall!)
